Alan Lancaster

Alan Charles Lancaster ( born February 7, 1949 in Peckham, London ) is a British musician and was for 20 years a bassist and vocalist of the rock band Status Quo.

With his school friend Francis Rossi in 1962 he founded a band under the name " The Scorpions ", as The Spectres granted in 1965, a record contract.

The addition of the band Rick Parfitt was the birth of the status quo. Although in the most commercially successful years, the band no written or sung by him song was released as a single, Alan Lancaster shaped the development of the status quo with decisive.

Mid -1970s to Lancaster decided to move to Australia. Due to the great distance he alienated increasingly by Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt.
