Alan Nunnelee

Patrick Alan Nunnelee ( born October 9, 1958 in Tupelo, Mississippi) is an American politician. Since 2011 he represents the state of Mississippi in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Alan Nunnelee visited until 1976, the Clinton High School in his home state of Mississippi. Then he studied until 1980 at the Mississippi State University. He subsequently worked for the insurance company American Funeral Assurance Co., where he rose to the Executive Board as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. His father was CEO of this company. Along with it he founded the company Allied Funeral Associates Inc and Allied Funeral Associates Insurance Co. Politically, he was a member of the Republican Party. Between 1995 and 2010 he was a member of the Senate of Mississippi. There he was at times a member of the Appropriations Committee.

In the congressional elections of 2010, Nunnelee in the first electoral district of Mississippi was in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of him previously defeated Democrat Travis Childers on January 3, 2011. In Congress, he is a member of the Appropriations Committee and three subcommittees. He is also part of five Congressional Caucuses. In the congressional elections in 2012 Nunnelee sat down with 60:37 percent of the vote by the Democrats against Brad Morris.

With his wife, Tori, he has three children.
