Alaska Central Express

Alaska Central Express is an American airline based in Anchorage. It was founded in 1996 and currently operates ( November 2013 ) six aircraft from Beechcraft 1900C.

Accidents and incidents

  • On 22 January 2010 crashed Flight 22, a Beechcraft 1900C with target Anchorage, at the start in Sandpoint. Both pilots died in the crash. In raising the wreck of the Pacific one of the two propeller was found in feathering, indicating engine failure.
  • Another incident of the same type of aircraft took place on 8 March 2013. Ace 51 should fly from King Salmon to Dillingham Airport. Approaching Flight 51 was cleared for descent to 2,000 feet and began a holding pattern over the initial approach fix, when suddenly the contact demolitions. The wreck was found at 2,000 feet the next day at a nearby mountain.
