Alaska Wilderness Lake is an American documentary from the year 1971.

Action

The naturalist Dr. Theodore Walker embarks on an eight-month expedition on the Baranof Island, a mountainous island in Alaska's southwest. He beats his camp on the banks of the elongated Eva Lake and studying flora and fauna there. From the snow melts in spring until the first snow in the autumn Dr. Walker documented life in and around the lake. He is filming with cameras on land and under water.

Walker observed salmon, trout, salamanders, moose, bears, killer whales, seals and eagles. In addition to his observation of the animal and plant world, Dr. Walker also documented his own transformation from a city man to a Ranger.

In 1972 the film was nominated in the category Best Documentary Oscar.
