Alba Torrens
Alba Torrens Salom ( born August 30, 1989 in Binissalem, Balearic Islands) is a Spanish basketball player. In most cases, it is used as a shooting guard or small forward.
Career
Alba Torrens began her career as a junior in 2001 at CB Sant Josep in Palma. In March 2004, she moved to Barcelona, XXI in the offspring of Sail, where they played from the 2004/05 season in the first team, which was represented at this time in the second division. In the summer of 2006 Torrens was transferred to the first division side RC Celta Vigo Indepo from. With their club, the young Spaniard was able to celebrate any success, but even they became one of the biggest talents in the league. On January 7, 2013, almost a year after her knee injury, Alba Torrens gave her comeback in the final victory of their team in the Turkish Cup and was top scorer of the winning selection in the final victory of the Spanish national team at the European Championships 2013.
National
Alba Torrens played at a young age successfully for the national team of their country. In 2004 she won the European Championship with the U -16 and was elected MVP of the tournament. The following year she was able to defend the title successfully. In 2006 they conquered again with the Spanish U-18 gold in 2007 reached the silver medal. In the U-20 European Championship in 2009, it reached the silver medal with Spain and was also named the most valuable player.
Her debut for the senior team celebrated Alba Torrens at the age of 18 years, in preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games., Where she reached with her team in 5th place.
