Albach (Wetter)

The Albach is a nearly 7 km long right or north western tributary of the weather in the south of the Middle Vogelsberg.

Course

The Albach originates northeast of the remote forest - Albach. It first flows in a westerly direction. After crossing under the Albacher road ( L3129 ) it goes into a strong bend towards the south. After flowing through the monk fields it changes its flow direction to the southwest, and reaches the same locality Albach. Shortly after leaving the village he changes direction south-southeast, its main flow direction, which it retains to the mouth. South of the Mühlberg Albach is amplified by the Steinbach. Not far away there is a sewage treatment plant. After passing under the B 457 it reaches the area of the district Lich. It flows through three ponds and leads eventually (south of the intersection B 457/Oberstadt ) in the weather.

The Albach is a siliceous low mountain. Its catchment area is 1678.54 hectares and its mean discharge ( MQ ) is 62 liters per second. The ecological condition of the stream is considered to be unsatisfactory.
