Albany County (Wyoming)
Albany County is a county located in the state of Wyoming in the United States. On 1 July 2005, there were 30 890 inhabitants in the county. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Laramie.
Geography
According to the U.S. Census Bureau Albany County covers an area of 11,160 square kilometers; of which 93 square kilometers of water. The county is bordered clockwise to the County: Converse County, Platte County, Laramie County, Larimer County, Colorado, Colorado Jackson County and Carbon County.

According to the census of 2000, there were 32 014 people in Albany County. There were 13,269 households, and 7006 families. The population density was 3 people per square kilometer. The racial the population was composed of 91.32 % White, 1.11 % African American, 0.95 % Native American, 1.70 % Asian, 0.06 % Pacific Islander residents from the and 2.65 % from other races groups; 2.22% were descended from two or more races. 7.49% percent of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
Of the 13,269 households out of which 23.90 % have children under the age of 18 living with them. 42.00 % were married couples living together, 7.50% percent were single mothers, 47.20 % were non-families. 31.40% of all households and 6.20% had someone living alone at the age of 65 years or older. The average household size was 2.23 and the average family size was 2.84 persons.
Based on the county the population was spread out with 18.40 % under the age of 18, 28.20 % from 18 to 24, 26.10% from 25 to 44 years, 19.10% between 45 and 64 years and 8.30% were 65 years old or older. The average age was 27 years. For every 100 females there were 106.70 males to 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.40 males.
