Albatros Al 101

The Albatros Al 101 (factory designation L 101 ) was a two-seat training aircraft Albatros Flugzeugwerke.

History

1930 designed the design office of the Albatros Flugzeugwerke L 101, which is about 1931, the RLM designation Al won 101. As a Focke -Wulf took over the Albatros -Werke in 1932, the Al 101 was further expanded as more and again received new orders for this good-natured trainer aircraft.

Construction

The two-seater Al 101 was a strutted high-wing aircraft. She got over their predecessors mainly two important innovations: The structure consisted entirely of a metal frame construction and for safety was chosen the high-wing configuration. For space-saving hangaring also the wings were folded back. As engines of the Argus As were 8 (Al 101) Cirrus " Hermes " (Al 101 A) and the Argus As 8 a ( Al 101 C and D) to choose from.
