Albe Vidaković

Albe Vidaković ( born October 1, 1914 in Subotica, † April 18, 1964 in Zagreb) was a Yugoslav priest, composer and musicologist from the Batschka (now Vojvodina, Serbia).

Life

He attended in Rome, he made his career in Zagreb. He wrote several works, and so reformed the then standard church music. He was also the founder of the School of Church Music in Zagreb. He died at the age of 49 of a heart attack.

Institutions

  • In his honor, borne by the choir of the Basilica of Saint Theresa in Subotica his name.
