Alberico Archinto

Alberico Archinto (* November 8, 1698 in Milan, † September 30, 1758 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Life

The son of a Milanese patrician family entstamme ends Carlo Archinto studied in Pavia the rights and graduated with a Dr. jur. utr. from. Since 1724 working at the Curia in Rome, the Pope appointed him already on 10 October 1724 Apostolic prothonotary. Appointed on September 23, 1728 to the clerk of the Tribunal of the Apostolic Signatura, he was from 1730 to 1731 as papal Vizelegat in Bologna.

The benefice of S. Maria di Brera, San Pietro e Paolo di Viboldone and of S. Pietro and S. Calogero di Civate, was ordained a priest on May 26, 1736.

After Archinto was appointed on September 30, 1739 Titular Archbishop of Nicaea, the Pope elevated him to the throne on October 1st, 1739 wizards. His episcopal ordination he received on November 1, 1739 in Milan.

Since November 17 1739 Nuncio in Florence, he was on March 1, 1746 nuncio in Poland. Shortly after the March 12, 1754, he returned to Rome, where from September 14, 1754, he was now Vizecamerlengo 1756 to 5 April.

Created on April 5, 1756 Cardinal, Archinto received on 24 May 1756, Cardinal Priest of S. Matteo in the titular church Via Merulana. But on September 20, 1756 he exchanged this with the church of S. Lorenzo in Damaso.

Appointed on September 10, 1756 to the Cardinal Secretary of State, he was 10 days later Vice- Chancellor of the Holy Roman Church.

He died on September 30, 1758 at 22.00 clock.
