Geography

Landscape

The numerous tombs from the Neolithic and Bronze Age are typical for this region. It lies in the east of the circle Dithmar in a wooded area directly on the Kiel Canal. The hilly moraine dominates the landscape here.

History

The place Albers village was first mentioned in 1281 as " Aluerdesdorpe ". The name stands for "Village of Athhal or Altwart ", which refers to the warden or guardian of a noble family. Albers village was an early stronghold of National Socialism. The NSDAP received 73.5 percent of the vote in the Reichstag elections in July 1932 in the village of Albers. March 29, 1933 Adolf Hitler was appointed unanimously elected an honorary citizen of Albers village. Bundeswehr
