Albert Bertelsen

Albert Bertelsen ( born November 17, 1921 in Vejle ) is a Danish painter.

Bertelsen was born in Vejle and worked 25 years at Vejle Skiltefabrik. Gradually he began to paint. His wife advised him to make a career as an artist. Bertelsen's paintings are often in green colors with landscapes and naïvistische people. The Faroe Islands and Norway are some of his best designs. The people of his art are always descriptions of people in his own childhood. Bertelsen's art is inspired by the Danish CoBrA painter Henry Heerup.

Albert Bertelsen has many books illustrated, among other tales of HC Andersen.
