Albert Decaris

Albert Decaris ( born May 6, 1901 in Sotteville -lès- Rouen, Seine- Maritime, † 1 January 1988, Paris) was a French painter, decorator and engraver, who often worked with watercolor paint or ink. He won the Prix de Rome at the age of 19 years and in 1943 was a member of the Académie des Beaux -Arts. He was a member of Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and won their Prix Puvis de Chavannes in 1957. He also designed postage stamps, such as the Stamp was born in 1948 in the Saar protectorate.
