Albert Meyong

Albert Meyong Zé (* October 19, 1980 in Yaoundé ) is a Cameroonian football player and currently stands at Sporting Braga in the Portuguese Primeira Liga under contract.

Career

Meyong started his career in Europe at the Italian Club Ravenna Calcio. After half a season, he joined the Portuguese Super League to Vitória Setúbal. With Setúbal he won the 2005 Portuguese Cup. In the final against Benfica he scored the winning goal.

In the summer of 2005 Meyong signed a two -year contract with Belenenses Lisbon. There he was, in the 2005/06 season, top scorer in the league. After only one year, he moved to Levante UD to Spain. Because of late salary payments he was, after just one appearance for Levante in the 2007/ 08 season, awarded to the club Albacete Balompié.

In January 2008, he moved back to Portugal to Belenenses Lisbon. In the 2-1 win against Naval 1 º de Maio, where he scored a goal, it was used without permission, since he had played this season already for two clubs in Spain. The club were therefore due to the breach of FIFA rules, six points deducted.

In August 2008 Meyong moved within Portugal for Sporting Braga. On 23 August 2008 he scored in the game against FC Paços de Ferreira, his first goal for the new club. In the UEFA Cup, he scored in a 4-0 home win against Artmedia Petržalka a hat-trick.
