Albert of Koldice

Albrecht von Kolditz († 1448 ) was Governor of the Czech Erbfürstentümer Jawor - Schweidnitz, Breslau and Governor of Upper Lusatia.

Life

Albrecht von Kolditz came from a noble family Kolditz. After the death of the Czech King Wenceslas Albrecht 1419-1448 held the office of the Provincial Governor of Erbfürstentums Świdnica and Jawor and 1420-1424, the Office of the Regional Governor Erbfürstentums Wroclaw. 1425-1448 he was Governor of Upper Lusatia. Through his positions he took an active part in the fight against the Hussites. 1428 he participated with its own army on the side of the cathedral Berger Duke Johann I and his son- Puta this year of Častolowitz at the Battle of Altwilmsdorf. To avoid capture of the castle Kynast by the Hussites, he gave in 1433 the order to transfer these to the city Hirschberg as a pledge and commit the city, the castle and to grind not rebuild.

Successor in the office of the Upper Lusatian bailiff was Hans von Kolditz, a son of Siegmund von Kolditz.

Family

Albrecht's daughter Anna († 1467 ) was from 1396 married to Puta this year of Častolowitz († 1434 ), with whom she had three daughters. After Putas death she married his second wife, the Bohemian nobles Hynek Kruschina of Lichtenburg.
