Albert Order
The Albrechts- Order was founded on December 31, 1850 by the Saxon King Friedrich August II in memory of the founder of the Albertine line of the House of Wettin, Duke Albrecht the Courageous and the award was for services rendered in the state, science and art, as well as " for good civic virtues "are provided.
The statutes were revised on December 9, 1870 January 31, 1876, on 4 May 1883.
Order of classes
The order was first instituted in five classes

- Small Cross
On March 18, 1858 Small Cross has been renamed to honor the cross and added a Golden and Silver Merit Medal. These were canceled on February 2, 1876, donated the Knight's Cross Second Class. Order decoration
The religious character is a sleek white enamelled cross with gold trim, the lower arm of the cross is longer. The cross arms are backed by a green enamelled oak wreath. On a white background the medallion shows the golden half-length portrait of Albrecht the Courageous, surrounded by a blue enamel ring with the inscription ALBERTUS ANIMOSUS. Ribbon and carrying method
