Albert R. Hall (Indiana politician)

Albert Richardson Hall ( born August 27, 1884 in West Baden Springs, Orange County, Indiana, † 29 November 1969 Marion, Indiana ) was an American politician. Between 1925 and 1931 he represented the State of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Albert Hall attended the public schools of his home including the Paoli High School. Then he studied until 1906 at the Indiana Central Business College in Indianapolis and then to 1912 from Earlham College in Richmond. After completing his training, Hall himself began a career in the teaching profession. Until 1925, he worked first as a teacher and as a school board from 1913 in various locations in Indiana.

Politically Hall was a member of the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 1924 he was in the eleventh electoral district of Indiana in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of Samuel E. Cook on March 4, 1925. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1931 three legislative periods. These were shaped by the events of the world economic crisis since 1929.

In 1930, Hall was not re-elected; 1934 failed for reelection. Between 1932 and 1942 he worked in the private printing industry. In addition, he served as CFO of the company Driveway Contractors Inc. Hall has been renowned in the real estate business. He also was the owner of a newspaper. Since 1961, he ran a hotel in Marion. In this city he is on 29 November 1969 and died.
