Albert Stallard, Baron Stallard

Albert Stallard, Baron Stallard (* November 5, 1921; † 29 March 2008) was a British politician ( Labour ).

Albert Stallard, better known by his nickname Jock Stallard, belonged from 1970 to 1983 at the House of Commons and was elected for the constituency of St Pancras North. In the elections in February 1974 and October 1974, he beat his opponent of the Conservative Party, the future Prime Minister John Major.

In 1974 he became Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and shortly thereafter became Housing Minister in the government of Callaghan.

Since 1983 he was a member of the House of Lords, most recently he was a leave of absence allowed.
