Albert Stinson

Albert Stinson ( born August 2, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio, † June 2, 1969 in Boston ) was an American jazz bassist. He played with Chico Hamilton.

Life

Albert Stinson worked at the beginning of his short career in Los Angeles with Terry Gibbs, Frank Rosolino and Charles Lloyd, after all, he was a long time member of the band from Chico Hamilton. Later he went with Larry Coryell on tour and worked with John Handy. Most is remembered his involvement in Bobby Hutcherson Oblique Album Blue Note in 1967. Stinson died two years later on a tour from a drug overdose.
