Albert Thibaudet

Albert Thibaudet ( born April 1, 1874 in Tournus, Saône -et -Loire, † 1936 in Geneva ) was a French literary critic and writer.

Life

Thibaudet completed his schooling at the Lycée Henri IV, among others, in Paris ( 5th arrondissement ). By his own admission there was Henri Bergson one of his most important teachers.

1912 Thibaudet was able to publish an essay in the literary magazine Nouvelle Revue Française (NRF ) for the first time. After the First World War, could find him until his death there regularly among the authors.

Through the philosopher Lucien Lévy -Bruhl was made ​​possible Thibaudet join in 1928 the first Cours de universitaires Davos ( Davos college courses ).
