Albert Zweifel

Albert Zweifel ( born June 7, 1949 in Ruti ) is a retired Swiss cyclist, who was particularly active in cross-country cycling. He became professional in 1973 and finished his career in 1989. As a five-time cyclo-cross world champion and nine-time Swiss champion he is regarded as the most successful Swiss Radquerfahrer.

In the Tour de Suisse 1976, a serious accident caused doubt for special attention: He rushed to the Furka downhill Gletsch and put the last 40 miles to the finish back covered in blood and was only brought to the hospital to Brig. The diagnosis was complicated skull fracture. Doubt itself can remember to this day neither the fall nor his next ride.

Doubt today operates a bike hire in Mallorca.
