Alberto Cardaccio

Alberto Cardaccio, full name Alberto Víctor Cardaccio Traversa, ( born August 26, 1949) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

The 1.75 meter tall, defensively oriented midfielder Cardaccio played at least between 1967 and 1974 for Danubio Montevideo. In the seasons 1975/76 and 1976/77 he was in Mexico in Unión de Curtidores under contract and scored for that club during this period 14 goals in 66 games. It was followed by another station in Mexico in CF Atlas. In the season 1977/78 he graduated from 26 games and scored seven goals. The following season he was used in the Puebla FC 30 times in La Liga. His goalscoring pointed out two hits. He then spent three more seasons for CF Monterrey active. Cardaccio also starred in his career for Racing. There it was used 30 times ( eight goals).

National

Cardaccio has already participated with the Juniorennationalelf at the Junior Americas Cup 1967. Cardaccio was also a member of the senior national team of Uruguay, for he completed 19 international matches between May 31, 1972 to June 19, 1974. However, an international goal he did not achieve. Cardaccio belonged to the squad of Uruguay in the World Cup 1974. There he came in the course of the competition in the group game against Bulgaria to use one as a substitute.

Family

Cardaccios nephew Mathías Cardacio is also a professional football player and Uruguayan international.
