Alberto David

Alberto David ( born March 26, 1970 in Milan ) is an Italian- Luxembourgian chess player. In 2012 he moved from Luxembourg to the Italian Chess Federation. Since 1998, he carries the grandmaster title and is the only Luxembourg, who will each receive this item.

Life

The Alberto David's family moved to Luxembourg in 1974. In 1975, he began playing chess. In the early 1980s, he was temporarily informed by Mark Taimanov in chess. In London, David Alberto studied philosophy, he graduated in 1992 from the study.

In the Belgian first league he plays for Namur Echecs, in Italy for Milanese in 1881. In France he played until 2003 for the Club de Cavalier Bleu Drancy, then to 2007 for Clichy Echecs, with whom he was 2007 French team champion and three times at the European Club Cup took part. In the seasons 2008/ 09 and 2010/11 he played for the Club de Lutèce Echecs, in the season 2012/13 for L' Echiquier Chalonnaise. In the German Chess Bundesliga he played from 1999 to 2001 for the Godesberg SK. In Austria he played until 2001 for Austria Wien Husek.

Achievements

For Luxembourg, he participated in six chess Olympiads ( 1994-2002 and 2006), in which he received in Bled, Slovenia, a silver medal for his result on the first board of 11 from 13 in 2002. Three times he took with Luxembourg at European team championships (1992, 2001 and 2003). In Plovdiv 2003 he received while a gold medal for his score of 6 out of 8 on the first board. Preference plays David tournaments in Paris, where it can show some tournament victories at GM tournaments, he won as the 2005 Paris Open. In 2012 he won in Turin in its first participation, the Italian Individual Championship with 1.5 points ahead.

His Elo rating is 2595 (as of November 2012), that he is behind Fabiano Caruana in second place of the Italian Elo ranking. His previous highest Elo rating was 2631 in May 2010.
