Alberto di Jorio

Alberto di Jorio Cardinal ( born July 18, 1884 in Rome, Italy, † 5 September 1979 ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Alberto di Jorio studied in Rome, the subjects Catholic theology and philosophy and received in 1908 the sacrament of Holy Orders. From 1908 to 1910 he taught at the seminary of Perugia. From 1910 he was in the service of the Vatican, where until 1918 he worked as an ex officio proceedings of the Vicariate of Rome, before he joined in 1918 as a secretary in the Department of Religious work, which he headed in 1922 and perceived to 1958.
