Alberto Fouilloux

Alberto Jorge Ahumada Fouilloux ( born November 22, 1940 in Casado ) is a former Chilean football player. He participated in the World Cup finals in 1962 and 1966 with the national team of his native country.

Career

Alberto Fouilloux began his career at Club CD Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. In this club he remained until the year 1969. With Universidad Católica he won in 1961 and 1966, twice the Chilean championship. In 1969 he moved on to CD Huachipato, a more mid-table club in Chile. After only one year in Huachipato he went on to Unión Española to again change clubs after not even a year thereafter, and to join Lille in France. There, he became a master in the French second division, but in 1974 the club left after two years. The following year he played for his hometown club Universidad Católica his last season as a football player.

In the National Team of Chile Alberto Fouilloux came to 70 inserts. For the first time for Chile played Foullieux 1960. Two years later, he took part with the Chilean national soccer team in the World Cup in their own country. There, Chile played a brilliant tournament and finishing third. Previously you had won, among other against Italy and the Soviet Union. Alberto Fouilloux came here in the first two group games against Switzerland and scandal match against Italy for use before it is no longer included by coach Fernando Riera. Four years later at the World Championships in England came Chile does not have the preliminaries out.
