Alberto Manguel

Alberto Manguel Adrián ( born March 13, 1948 in Buenos Aires ) is a native of Argentina, writer, literature professor, translator and editor.

Life

Manguel is the son of Pablo Manguel, the first Argentine ambassador to Israel, and his wife Rosa Finkelstein. He spent his early years there. Manguel holds Canadian citizenship and lives with his partner Craig Stephenson, a psychoanalyst, in Mondion (France). He is the author of non-fiction books and novels. Alberto Manguel was 1964-1968, among others, the reader blind Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges.
