Albertson Van Zo Post

Albertson Van Zo Post ( born July 28, 1866 in Cincinnati, † January 23, 1938 in New York City ) was an American fencer and two-time Olympic champion. He is one of the few fencer, who won the national championship with all three weapons.

At the Olympic Games in 1904 in St. Louis, he participated in all five fencing competitions and won a medal in each. In foil fencing, he won two gold medals in singles and with the team. A silver medal he won in the pole fencing. This was a demonstration sport and only 1904 on the Olympic program. In the individual competitions, with the sword and the sword he reached the third place, respectively.

Albertson Van Zo Post is often incorrectly performed (as in the IOC database) as Cubans. However, he was American.
