Albina Osipowich

Albina Osipowich van Aiken ( born February 26, 1911 in Worcester, Massachusetts, † June 6, 1964 ) was an American swimmer.

In the Summer Olympics 1928 in Amsterdam, she was Olympic champion on both the 100m freestyle and with the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. Financially, paid from the Olympic victory for them as it was received enthusiastically in her hometown Worcester after their return from the Olympics and the residents donated more than $ 4,000 so she could attend college. In 1986, she was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
