Albon, Drôme
Albon is a commune in the north of the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes.
Geography
Albon is a scattered settlement and municipality consists of the village of Saint -Romain- d'Albon and three larger villages: Saint -Martin -des- Rosiers, Le Creux -de- la- Thine and Saint- Philibert. Neighboring municipalities are Anneyron, Beausemblant, Andancette, Saint- Rambert- d'Albon, Fay- le- Clos, La Motte- de -Galaure and Saint- Uze.
Population
With 1725 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011) Albon is one of the medium-sized towns in the Drôme Provençale. 1975 1136 people were still counted, then a strong population growth was recorded mainly in the 1980s. Since 1990, only minor variations were registered.
