Albula Alps

The Albula Alps are part of the Rhaetian Alps in eastern Switzerland. They extend north of the Inn between Splügenpass and Flüelapass. The highest peak is Piz Kesh ( 3'418 m above sea level. M. ).

About the Albula Alps also lead Julier and Albula Pass. The mountain range is traversed by the Albula Railway.

Location

The Albula Alps lie in the western Eastern Alps. After the Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps (AVE ), the group will be limited as follows:

  • To the Plessur Alps in the northwest of Castel low country along the water to Davos
  • The Silvretta in the northeast of Davos line Flüela Bach - Flüelapass - Susasca - Susch in the Lower Engadine
  • A short piece of Susch to Zernez borders the Sesvenna Group
  • In the southeast to the Livigno Alps and the Bernina Alps through the Upper Engadine up over the Maloja Pass to Casaccia the top Bergell
  • In the southwest to the above Kamnik Alps over the Septimerpass to Oberhalbstein to Tiefencastel
