Album leaf

The Album Leaf is a musical character piece.

Originally intended as an entry in a record or root directory, it evolved in the 19th century to one of them independent label for mostly short, mostly the piano delivered thought-out compositions in free form. Examples include Ludwig van Beethoven Album Leaf For Elise, Robert Schumann's Album Leaves, Op 124 Felix Mendelssohn Album Leaf, Op 117 (1837 ), Richard Wagner's arrival at the black swans - Album Leaf in A flat major for piano (1861 ), Max Reger's Album Leaf for Violin and Piano op 87.1, Feuillet d' album op.58 by Alexander Scriabin or of Ferruccio Busoni sheet music for flute and piano (1917 ).
