Alda Neves da Graça do Espírito Santo

Alda Neves da Graça do Espírito Santo Espírito Santo do short Alda ( born 1926, São Tomé and Príncipe; † 9 March 2010), is a Portuguese poet.

Since São Tomé and Príncipe in 1975 gained independence from Portugal, she filled various high offices in the government of their country, Minister of Education and Culture and for Information and Culture, President of the National Assembly and General Secretary of the National Union of Writers and Artists of São Tomé and Principe.

She is also the author of the verses of the national anthem Independencia total.
