Alden W. Clausen

Alden Winship Clausen (* February 17, 1923 in Hamilton, Illinois, † January 21, 2013 in Burlingame, California ) was from July 1981 to June 1986 President of the World Bank.

Prior to that (1970-1981) and after (1986-1990) Clausen was president of the Bank of America. Place under his leadership in the 1970s, an unprecedented expansion of the largest commercial bank in the world. He established business relationship with Latin America and came through a streamlining of corporate management in 1986 a sale of the bank before.
