Aldo Ronconi

Aldo Ronconi ( born September 22, 1918 in Brisighella, † June 12, 2012 in Faenza ) was an Italian cyclist.

Aldo Ronconi was a professional racing car driver 1940 until 1952. Early as 1939 he had won the prestigious race Milan - Munich. In 1940 he won the Giro dell 'Umbria. After the Second World War, he was able to continue his early successes: In 1946, he was Italian champion in the road race and won the Giro di Toscana. In the same year he won the Giro d' Italia in fifth place in the overall standings in the Tour de Suisse and finished third. In 1947 he won a stage of the Tour de France, wearing the yellow jersey for two days and finished fourth overall. In 1950 he was again third in the Tour de Suisse.

After the end of his active cycling career Ronconi opened a bicycle shop in Faenza.
