Alec John Such

Alec John Such ( born November 14, 1951 in Yonkers, New York) is an American bassist. He was a founding member in 1984 of the rock band Bon Jovi. In 1994 he left the band without having since become an official replacement had been named for him.

According to the band members Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora in an episode of the television series Behind the Music, the band split due to inadequate performance in live concerts of search. Another factor that contributed to his dismissal, said to have been in the studio recording for the album Crossroads, the unsatisfactory quality of his work.

Before joining Bon Jovi search played with Richie Sambora in the band Message. After his departure, he was a manager for various bands in New Jersey. He also owns a motorcycle trade in New York City.

McDonald is not considered as an "official " member of the band; he appears neither on official photographs of the band is still on record covers, and is not involved in the revenues of the band, but receives a salary.
