Alec Newman

Alec Newman ( born November 27, 1974 in Glasgow as Mark Newman) is a Scottish theater and film actor.

Life and career

Newman was born the son of Sandy Newman, a member of the Scottish 1970s music group The Marmalade, in Glasgow, Scotland. His family moved three years later to London, where he was an avid soccer player. A targeted professional career, he was forced to retire after a momentous broken leg.

At 17, Newman made ​​her first appearance at the National Youth Theatre, where his countless roles, especially his portrayal of Iago in Shakespeare's Othello, stood out.
