Aleksandar Ignjovski ( Serbian Cyrillic Александар Игњовски, born January 27, 1991 Pančevo ) is a Serbian football player who is under contract with Werder Bremen and plays for the Serbian national football team.

Career

Association

At the age of seven years, Aleksandar Ignjovski began playing football at OFK Belgrade. He initially played as a left-back, and he later moved to defensive midfield. He went through the entire youth department of OFK, before being called into the squad for the first team in 2008. In the season 2008/ 09 he was employed in the first division 23 times and scored three goals. He had at OFK a contract until 2012.

In the summer of 2009 Ignjovski joined on loan for two years to the German second division club TSV 1860 Munich. In his first season in Munich, he came up with 30 inserts. In the second year he was repeatedly thrown back by injuries, he was used 23 times. In the two years he prepared a total of seven goals. Four times he was also came in the DFB - Pokal for use. In the spring of 2011, the club has squandered the deadline for a pre- agreed purchase option due to financial constraints, thus Ignjovski left the Munich Lions again in the summer of 2011.

On 4 August 2011, the SV Werder Bremen announced the commitment of Ignjovski. Ignjovski signed a three -year contract until 30 June 2014. Via further details were not disclosed.

Initially intended as planning for the future, he held 10 September 2011 (5th Round ) the injured left-back Lukas Schmitz in the derby against HSV for 90 minutes at the Werder Bremen jersey. Since then heard " Iggi " as he is called by the Werder fans, the basic formation of the Hanseatic League. On March 9, 2013 ( 25th Round ) in a 1-1 away draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach he scored the hit to the final score in the 77th minute and his first Bundesliga goal.

On April 3, 2014 it was announced that Ignjovski will change on July 1, 2014 at Eintracht Frankfurt. He is a free transfer and is given a three-year contract.

National

Ignjovski comes since the U-16 in the junior national teams of FSS to use, yet he played 15 times and scored one goal. With the U-17 in 2008, he took part in the European Championships in Turkey, where he retired with his team after the preliminary round. With the U- 19, he was able to qualify for the European Championship 2009 in Ukraine, where the Serbian selection in the semifinals was denied by the eventual winners Ukraine. On 28 February 2012, he came in a Test match against the selection of Armenia for his first senior international commitment to Serbia.
