Aleksandar Kitinov

Aleksandar Kitinov ( born January 13, 1971 in Skopje) is a Macedonian former tennis player.

Life

Kitinov 1992 professional tennis player. In 1994 he won in Ostend his first of twelve double titles on the ATP Challenger Tour. His first title on the ATP World Tour, he celebrated in 1997 in Bournemouth on the side of Kent Kinnear. Other titles he won in Basel and Bucharest. Its highest listing in the tennis world ranking he reached in 1996 with position 296 in the singles and 1999 position 38 in doubles.

In the individual he was never able to qualify for a Grand Slam tournament. In the doubles competition, he reached in 2001 on the side of Nenad Zimonjic the second round of Wimbledon, he also reached the Australian Open 1998, together with Eva Melicharova the quarterfinals in mixed doubles.

Kitinov played between 1992 and 1995 four singles and five doubles matches for the Macedonian Davis Cup team. His greatest success with the team was participating in the first round of the World Group in 1992 against Australia. The Australian Davis Cup team won the discharged Cyprus encounter 5-0, Kitinov came here only in doubles.
