Aleksander Jabłoński

Aleksander Jabłoński ( born February 26, 1898 in Woskresenówka, Ukraine; † 9 September 1980 in Skierniewice, Poland) was a Polish physicist, professor and member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

He worked on intermolecular interactions in the absorption and emission of light. The 1935 proposed by him and named after him Jablonski scheme is presented for the explanation of fluorescence and phosphorescence.
