Aleksander Kaszkiewicz

Aleksander Kaszkiewicz (White Russian Аляксандр Кашкевіч, Russian Александр Кашкевич; born September 23, 1949 in Eišiškės ) is a Belarusian Roman Catholic priest and Bishop of Grodno.

Life

Aleksander Kaszkiewicz received on 30 May 1976, the ordination.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 13 April 1991 concerning the Bishop of Grodno. The Apostolic Administrator of European Russia, Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, donated to him on 23 May of the same year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Edward Kisiel, Apostolic Administrator of Białystok, and Juozas Preikšas, Apostolic Administrator of Panevėžys. As a motto he chose Jesus in te confido.
