Aleksander Polaczek

Aleksander Polaczek ( born August 9, 1980 in Opole, Poland ) is a German ice hockey player of Polish descent who plays for the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg in the German Ice Hockey League since the DEL Season 2012 /2013.

Career

His time as a junior player, he spent ESV king penguins Brunn and Augsburger EV.

Polaczek first played in 1999 in the big leagues at the EC Atlantis Ulm / Neu- Ulm. Since the club due to financial problems the game had to stop operating after the 1999/00 season, joined the Center in the league for the ESV Bayreuth, whose regular squad was one of the links Sagittarius. In 41 games Polaczek scored 26 points scorer and finally decided in the summer of 2001 for an engagement with the REV Bremerhaven, with whom he was active in the 2nd Bundesliga henceforth.

Also in Bremerhaven showed the attacker good performance and thus drew the interest of some DEL scouts to be, and he eventually signed a two year deal with ERC Ingolstadt. There, however, the native of Upper Silesians could not prevail and scored in 116 games DEL just 21 points. Then Polaczek was transferred to the 2005/06 season to the Sinupret Ice Tigers Nuremberg, with whom he celebrated the German runner-up in the second scheduled time. In the final, his team was defeated with 0:3 games against the Adler Mannheim.

Polaczek signed on 24 March 2009 a contract with the Frankfurt Lions, where he played together with Michel Periard, who was also changed to Frankfurt. As part of the closure of the shirt number 80 by the DEL due to the death of Robert Müller, Polaczek renounced the number he had previously always worn. He plays from now on with the shirt number 15

In the summer of 2010, he initially received a sample contract with the Hamburg Freezers, which was eventually extended until the end of the season 2011/2012. In April 2012 it was announced that Aleksander Polaczek has signed a contract for two seasons in the league rivals Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg.

Internationally

In 2007, Aleksander Polaczek was the first time in the squad of the German national ice hockey team. With the national team, he participated in the 2007 World Championships in Russia. Polaczek graduated three senior international games in which he failed to reach a point scorer.

Inline Hockey

Besides being a professional hockey player Polaczek plays for the German Inline Hockey National Team, with which he participated in the Inline Hockey World Championship 2006 in Hungary. There he reached with the national team to fourth place after it had lost in the match for third place with 4:5 after extra time against Finland.
