Alexander Borisovich Savin (Russian Александр Борисович Савин; born July 1, 1957 in Taganrog ) is a Russian former volleyball player.
Career
Alexander Sawin was at the age of 16 years, made his debut in the first team of CSKA Moscow. With the club, he won 13 times, the Soviet championship and was seven times European Cup Winners ' Cup.
In 1974 he played his first international match for the Soviet Union. He was twice world champion (1978, 1982), once Vice World Champion (1986) and between 1975 and 1985 six -times European champions. In 1976 he won the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Montreal. In 1980 he was at the Olympic Games in Moscow Olympic champion.
