Aleksandr Dobroskok

Alexander Mikhailovich Dobroskok (Russian Александр Михайлович Доброскок; born June 12, 1982 in Busuluk ) is a Russian diver. It starts in the art of jumping from 1 m and 3 m- board and in the 3-meter synchronized diving.

Dobroskok previously took part in three Olympic Games. In the art of jumping from the 3 m board he came in 2000 in Sydney, ranked 13, 2004 in Athens, ranked seventh in Beijing in 2008 and ranked 17th in the synchronized diving he won in 2000 along with Dmitri Sautin silver, 2004, the duo finished seventh.

At the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka Dobroskok won two bronze medals from the 1 m- board and 3-meter synchronized diving. His most successful World Cup he experienced in 2003 in Barcelona. From the 3 meter synchronized diving board and he became world champion.

Also at European Swimming Championships Dobroskok was successful. At the 2000 European Championships in Helsinki, he won bronze of the 3 m board and silver in the 3m synchro competition. 2006 in Budapest, he won two silver medals in the springboard from 1 m and 3 m board. At the European Championships 2009 in Turin, he became European Champion for the first time. He won the springboard diving from the 3 m board.

His brother Dmitri Dobroskok (* 1984) is also a successful diver.
