Aleksandr Vladimirovich Tretyakov

Alexander Vladimirovich Tretyakov (Russian: Александр Владимирович Третьяков; born October 1, 1972 in Perm ) is a former Russian wrestler in Greco- Roman style. In his international career, which lasted from 1992 to 1999, he was twice European champion and 1998 World Champion.

1996 Tretyakov approached at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, he won after a 0:8 loss to Ghani Yalouz and six wins due to, among other things Rustam Adschi, Ukraine ( 3-1 ), Valery Nikitin, Estonia ( 4-0) and Kamandar Madschidow, Belarus ( 4-0) the bronze medal.

At the European Championships in 1997 in Kouvola, he defeated all his opponents, including Ender Memet, Adam Juretzko ( 4:0) and Georgi Dschinwelaschwili ( 13:3 ) from Georgia were in and became European Champion. At the world championships in the same year he had to victories over Valeri Nikitin (3-0), Roustam Adzhi ( 2-0) and Bisser Georgiev from Bulgaria ( 3-1 ) let the South Koreans Son Sang -pil with 1:6 precedence.

In 1998 he was at the World Championships in Gävle back on the wrestling mat; after he was already in the same year became European champion, he now became world champion.
