Aleksandr Zatsepin

Alexander Sergeyevich Sazepin (Russian Александр Сергеевич Зацепин; born March 10, 1926 in Novosibirsk ) is a Russian composer.

Life

His father, Sergei Dmitrievich was a surgeon and his mother Valentina Boleslawowna a Russian teacher. It was only in 1945, during his service in the army, Alexander Sazepin taught himself to play on some musical instruments. At the age of 30 years he has completed training at the Alma -Ata Conservatory. In 1958, the first movie with composed music he was released. In the 1960s, he became a popular film composer in Moscow.

Work

Alexander Sazepin composed the music for almost all comedies by Leonid Gaidai.

For the international version of The Red Tent, his music has been completely replaced by Ennio Morricone's music. Also in The Mystery of the Third Planet, his music has been replaced.
