Aleksandrs Fertovs

Aleksandrs Fertovs ( born June 16, 1987 in Riga) is a Latvian football player. The midfielder currently plays for Skonto Riga in the Latvian Virsliga, and for the Latvian national football team.

Career

Aleksandrs Fertovs began his career in his hometown of Riga in the youth department of the JFC Skonto Skonto Riga, who took the name Olimps Riga from 2005. In this Olimps played in the 2008 season in his first season as a professional after he had only one game with discount denied. At the start of the 2009 season changed Fertovs back to Skonto Riga. With discount the tall midfielder is a regular player. With the Latvian record champions, he was able to secure the championship title in 2010.

For the Latvian football selection Fertovs made ​​his debut in the A- team against Honduras in November 2009 when he came on in the 80th minute for the game Genādijs Soloņicins. This was lost with 1:2 and was also the record game Vitālijs Astafjevs as Latvian national team.
