Aleksei Medvedev (footballer)

Alexei Sergeyevich Medvedev (Russian: Алексей Сергеевич Медведев; born January 5, 1977 in Pavlovsky Posad, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian football player and currently plays at FK Sibir Novosibirsk.

Career

In his youth he played for two clubs in the city Orechowo - Zuyevo. His professional career began in the 1999 season when Saturn Ramenskoje. His first goal scored for the club he scored on matchday 25 of the 1999 season in the match against Spartak Moscow, the game was still lost 3-1. From the season 2000 he played two years at Dynamo Moscow. The big breakthrough did not materialize, so he went back to Saturn. He signed a contract there for three years, he played the last year for Tom Tomsk. After the 2005 season, he spent two years Krylia Sovetov Samara. Since 2008, the striker plays at the club Sibir Novosibirsk with which he ascended into the 2009 season as runner-up of the 1st Division in the Premjer League. He was also with 18 goals in the 2009 season top scorer of the 1st Division.

On August 9, 2010 Medvedev was transferred for a transfer fee of € 1 million to Rubin Kazan.
