Aleksey Pisemsky

Alexei Feofilaktowitsch Pissemski (Russian Алексей Феофилактович Писемский; * 11 Märzjul / March 23 1821greg in Ramenje, .. .. † 21 Januarjul / February 2 1881greg in Moscow) was a Russian writer.

Pissemski studied in Moscow mathematics. After that he was in government service since 1844, first in the province and from 1866 to 1874 in Moscow.

He wrote novels, short stories and dramas in which he portrayed life in Russia realistic.
