Aleksey Shemarov

Alexei Nikolaevich Schemarow (Russian Алексей Николаевич Шемаров, Belarusian Аляксей Шамараў, Aljaksej Schamarau; born 16 September 1982) is a Belarusian, formerly -start for Russia, Ringer. He was 2011 World Champion in free style at heavyweight

Career

Alexei Schemarow grew up in Russia, began in 1999 with the rings and started up to the year 2008 for a wrestler Club in Kaliningrad (Russia). Since 2009 he starts for Belarus. He is trained by his older brother Alexander Schemarow since that time. The 1.88-meter athlete went to 2006 in the light heavyweight on the mat and starts since 2007 in the heavyweight division. During his time at the Russian Wrestling Federation, although he took part in some very important international Ringer tournaments but came with no international championship for use. In 2008 he was runner-up behind Russian Bachtijar Schachabutdinowitsch Akhmedov, but before Biljal Machów. Currently wrestling is also his profession. Schemarow is a very agile wrestler, the weight limit of 120 kg did not completely exhausts with a body weight of 115 kg.

His first participation in an international championship was then. At the 2009 World Championships in Herning / Denmark to Belarus He won there over the Chinese Shitao song, but lost his next fight against Tervel Dlagnev from the United States and finished 10th. At the European Championships 2010 in Baku, he then won his first medal. He defeated Ali Isayev there, Azerbaijan and Daniel Ligeti from Hungary, but was defeated by Biljajl Machów. In the battle for the bronze medal he beat Bartolomiej Bartnicki from Poland on points. At the World Championships this year in Moscow he first defeated the strong Turkish Fatih Cakiroglu, before he lost against Olympic champion Artur Taimasow from Uzbekistan. In the consolation round, he came to a victory over Vadim Tassojew, Ukraine, but after another defeat against Ali Isayev he left and came on the 11th Place.

Was very successful for Alexei Schemarow 2011. At the European Championships in Dortmund, he struggled with wins over Arzoumanidis Ioannis, Greece, Simas Asaciovas, Lithuania and Jamaladdin Magomedov from Azerbaijan in the final, in which he but lost to Fatih Cakiroglu just by points (1:2 rounds, 3-3 points). But the really big success then succeeded him at the World Championships in Istanbul. He won there over Nick Matuhin, Germany (2-0 rounds, 3-0, 3-2 points), Fatih Cakiroglu, Dawit Modsmanaschwili, the start again eligible after a two-year doping suspension Georgians, Tervel Dlagnev and during the finale, about Biljal Machów (2: 0 Rounds, 2-0 points) and became world champion.

At the Olympic Games 2012 in London his participation was not successful. Alexei Schemarow won there though his first fight against the bad certainly not Daniel Ligeti, but had already lost his next fight against Tervel Dlagnev. Since this did not reach the final, he could not wrestle in the consolation round and finished only eighth place.
