Aleksey Uvarov

Count Alexei Sergeyevich Uvarov (Russian Алексей Сергеевич Уваров, scientific transliteration Alexei Uvarov Sergeevič; * 28 Februarjul / March 12 1825greg in Saint Petersburg, .. .. † December 29 1884jul / January 10 1885greg ) was a Russian archaeologist.

Life

Uvarov, son of Count Sergei Uvarov, acquired as the founder of the regularly recurring since 1868, every three years, archaeological congress about the prehistoric archeology of great merit by the description of its archaeological journey to the northern shores of the Black Sea (Petersburg 1852) a name and.
